1Who we are
CMP Trading Room Ltd (“CMP Trading Room”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are a company registered in England and Wales.

This policy covers cmptradingroom.com, our members’ community, our email list, and our live sessions. It applies whether you are a paying member, a free viewer, or a visitor to the site.
2What we collect
Information you give us
- Account and billing details: your name, email address, billing address, and country. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never seen or stored by us.
- Tax identifiers: a VAT or company number, only if you choose to add one to your invoices.
- Community identifiers: your Discord username and account ID, used to grant and remove access to the members’ area.
- Correspondence: anything you send us by email or through the community, including support requests.
- Testimonials: text, audio or video you voluntarily submit, together with any name or handle you ask us to publish it under.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring site.
- Email engagement: whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 7.
We do not ask for trading account details. Please do not send us broker credentials, account numbers, or screenshots showing account numbers. If you do, we will delete them.
3Why we use it, and our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each use of your data. Ours are set out below.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4Who we share it with
We use third-party providers to run the business. Each acts as a processor on our instructions, or as an independent controller where noted. We share only what each one needs.

We may also share data with our accountant and professional advisers, and with law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to. If the business is sold or restructured, data may transfer to the new owner.
5Sending data outside the UK
Several of the providers above are based in the United States. When your data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law: the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or a UK adequacy decision, depending on the provider.
You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply to any specific transfer.
6How long we keep it

7Cookies
Our site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work and, with your consent, cookies for analytics and marketing. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time in your browser settings.
Rejecting non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to buy or use a membership.
8Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access: get a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: have inaccurate data corrected
- Erasure: have your data deleted, where we have no overriding reason to keep it
- Restriction: ask us to pause how we use your data while a concern is resolved
- Portability: receive data you gave us in a machine-readable format
- Object: object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time
- Withdraw consent: where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting past processing
To exercise any of these, email privacy@cmptradingroom.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Deleting your data ends your membership. We cannot run a subscription without billing and account records, so a deletion request while you are an active member will be treated as a cancellation. Records we must keep for tax purposes are retained regardless.
9Age limit
The service is for adults. You must be at least 18 to buy a membership or use the community, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10Security
We use reputable providers, restrict access to personal data to those who need it, and rely on encrypted connections throughout. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to us over the internet.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you by email.
12Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK supervisory authority:
